This journal is 218 pages and a great size to be able to record meaningful memories. On just about every page there is a Scripture included which is fantastic to be able to relate the specific writing prompt to. The illustrations are Victorian in style and are ready to color in for yourself.
There is an introduction from the author to get the user on her way to record special memories and there are sixteen different writing prompts that include:
God's Plan For Marriage
Life Before Marriage
There are so many extras included in this journal such as a list of qualities of a virtuous women with an accompanying word search puzzle, a specific prayer just for your husband, and a spot to jot down your blessings.
This journal would be a great gift to a bride-to-be or a new bride. I think, once filled out, it would also be a beautiful personalized journal to hand down to your own children.
I also received for review, Sweet Child of Mine. This is a devotional journal for mothers. This journal is in the same style as How Do I Love Thee?. Right along with the Victorian styled illustrations with plenty to color in (especially with adult coloring books being in high demand now), a Scripture with motherhood and children in mind, and easy writing prompts makes for a great keepsake.
I love that there are specific prayers to pray over your children. I think that is a great resource especially for new mothers.
There are twelve sections to record priceless memories such as:
Labor and Delivery
Hopes and Prayers
Learning and Growing
Going to a baby shower soon? Know a soon-to-be mommy? This would make such a sweet gift so both mom and dad can record those special moments that will last for years to come.
