Book Review: Until My Name Is Known

The first book in her Tell Of My Kingdom's Glory series, Until My Name
is Known by Sonia Contreras is a gripping and suspenseful story of a God and His love for His chosen people.

While the story of Moses and the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt is quite known to us, the author provides an in-depth look and personal accounts of the characters depicted in her book.  This is a Biblical fiction title, of course, we understand that these accounts are not listed in the Bible, however, the way she weaves the fear and fright the Egyptians as well as the Israelites could have felt through out is depicted extremely well.

The ten plagues were described in graphic detail providing the reader with an awareness of the severity and how they lives of both the Egyptians and the Israelites were affected. The book ends with the miraculous parting of the sea and the Israelites passing through on dry land.  What an amazing demonstration of God's power and might!

At the end of the book the author provides Summary Remarks.  She writes of her findings in both archaeological and historical accounts and how they translated to her writing.  This provided more insight to the details of the characters in the story. A map, showing the exodus route is also provided.

The story of Exodus is a love story in which Moses was chosen to bring to light the beacon of hope that was available to a people who thought they had been long forgotten by their God.

For those who enjoy reading Biblical historical fiction, this will be a great read.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
