Book Review: Bedtime Stories and Prayers

This is a lovely collection of four bedtime stories in a padded hardcover book with 111 pages.  The four stories are titled:

* Bedtime Blessings
* Thank You, God
* Blessings Everywhere
* God Loves You

The first story, Bedtime Blessings, has a soothing rhyming pattern.  It begins with children enjoying the innocence of playtime and transitioning to end of the day and thanking God for all the blessing of the day just passed.

The book ends with the story "God Loves You".  This story focuses on God's unconditional love for us.  It lovingly weaves the undeserving love of the Lord even with our imperfections and faults.

The characters of the stories are beautifully illustrated multi-cultural children. They are very adorable looking.  They all have such sweet little expressions. The stories depict children enjoying the beauty and majesty of God whether they are frolicking about in a field of flowers, gazing up at the heavens and even taking the dog a bath.  There are also adorable and playful animals that appear throughout.

My four year old daughter enjoyed the stories as I read them aloud to her.

Book Review: Journible the 17:18 Series "Acts"

The Journible 17:18 Series is a great resource for those who desire to immerse themselves in Scripture and to write out your very own copy of God's Word.

The book of “Acts” is beautiful in its detail.  The hardbound book is sturdy and will definitely stand up to the test of time especially since the author’s desire for the “Journible” series books to be handed down from one generation to the next.

The book’s layout was well thought out considering the space that the “scribe” will need to write out the book of Acts.  The journal is formatted in a way where there is ample space on the left side of the book where thought provoking questions are presented along with a section to jot down personal notes concerning the text that was just written out.  There is a lovely watermark design on the page that gives it a decorative element to the journal.

On the right side of the book, the pages are laid out in a way that the chapter and verse are clearly written out, and gives the "scribe" ample space to write them out.

A ribbon marker allows the writer to mark the page where they left off.

I am more than pleased with my Journible Series book.  It is a beautiful addition to my own personal library.
