Breaking Free: God's Rule is Right

But my salvation will last forever,
My righteousness will never fail.
Isaiah 51:6

Almighty God did not design us to be self-sufficient. He created us to require authority so that we may desire to live safely under His rule. Satan wants to deceive us by thinking that we are our own boss and that we can accomplish our goals in our own strengths.

Believing that God's rule is right requires faith and trust. Faith to know that He alone is God and that He has worked it all out for our good.

In the book of Job, chapter 38 and on the Lord speaks sternly to Job. The Lord goes on to pose Job a list of questions which are meant to give Job the understanding that God is omniscient, omnipotent, all powerful. God doesn't need our advice or our input on anything that has to do with us. He is more than capable to resolve it ALL on our behalf.

The ending of this book brings so much hope to my heart because Job sees his own humanity and how frail and momentary man is.

If you have questioned that the Lord's rule is right repent like Job in chapter 42:6 "Therefore I take back my words and repent in dust and ashes." It took much humility on Job's part to admit his own life is but a breath.

I am determined to break free from any thought that I have to figure anything out on my own.
I put my trust in the Lord.
He alone is worthy!

Breaking Free: God's Right to Rule

I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me.
Isaiah 46:9

These past few chapters have me focusing on obedience.

When we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior His Holy Spirit comes to dwell in us and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Cor. 3:17). If we are not experiencing His freedom....are we being obedient....in everything?

The author states a very interesting question: "Have you ever noticed that you can experience freedom in one part of your life and remain in bondage in another?"

Sometimes we allow the Lord's freedom to manifest in our lives while simply holding on to other areas and not allowing HIM access.

The answer to true freedom is quite simple. The answer is withholding HIM absolutely nothing. To remain completely transparent and allowing HIM to refine us and to remove all impurities that serve as a stumbling block to receive and live in HIS absolute freedom.

This past Sunday the Lord reminded me of this chapter. I cried out to the Lord that we may always have a Potter/clay relationship. Christ obeyed the Potter. As a man, Christ obeyed His Father. Christ uttered let your will be done! Jesus was committed to God's right to rule and knew that His rule is right. I want to allow the Lord to be the Potter and submit to HIM as the clay. I want to obey His right to rule in my life.

God's rule is right!

Let Him rule....

Celebrate

As this day prepares to end, I cannot help but be thankful.
Thankful that today, is my 32nd birthday.

As I was walking to the supermarket with my 13yr. old, I was mentioning to her how I had such a lovely day with my girls. I went on to tell her that while I was in the world, I would have spent this day rather differently. How grateful am I that in Jesus all things are made new.

In that moment I recalled the countless times that I knew it was just the Lord's mercy and love for me that kept the devil's hand from taking my life.

I am grateful...

I had two different SIC declare this verse today which I'd like to share (they didn't know that the other had this verse for me):

For the Lord your God is living among you.
He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness.
With his love, He will calm all your fears.
He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.

Zephaniah 3:17 NLT

Thank you Lord,
Thank you because although you were not in my plans I was in yours,
Thank you because you loved me first,
Thank you because you kept me from harm,
Thank you because you have called me to be Yours,
Thank you for your precious son Jesus and Holy Spirit that lives in me,

Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
