My desire for you all is that the Lord may continue to bless and prosper you in HIM. That all that you have purposed to achieve this year for HIM and in HIM may come to pass for HIS glory. That every word that has been declared over your lives may come to fruition knowing that faithful is HE who has promised.

There is no one like you JESUS. I realize that your mercy and love is much more than I can ever sum up into words. Simple word are not enough to describe all that you are. Holy Spirit help my family and I draw nearer to YOU for this new year and always. In Jesus' name...Amen :)

My Turn.....Part II

I also tried making Karen's pizza and the results are in. Drum roll please! Just as good as store bought pizza...dare I say..even better!

I also have to mention that it is verrry easy to make. My daughter and I had fun making and rolling out the dough. My husband even chipped in dicing the garlic to spread over the crust. (He mixed the garlic with butter and spread it on the dough crust prior to baking). Just plan in advance due to having to let the dough rise for about 2 hours.

My Turn

Karen at Building Her House posted a yummy recipe for pumpkin bars.

I was able to try a piece of hers and immediately decided on trying out the recipe for myself especially since she said it was super easy to make.

Let me tell you it was super easy to make!
I forgot to include my almonds in the batter therefore I sprinkled some on top.

Next time I will be substituting bananas and maybe even try making it with carrots.

I would add raisins and nuts to make it even yummier!

Are You Preparing For Rain?

There were two farmers who desperately needed rain. But only one went out to prepare his fields for it? Who do you think trusted in God to send the rain?

I was reminded of this story a few nights ago while having a conversation with my husband.

Jesus said to His disciples, "Stay awake and pray so that you won't enter into temptation. The Spirit is willing but the flash is weak."
Matthew 26: 41-56

Jesus left and came back a second time and even a third time and still found the disciples sleeping while He was being strengthened in prayer for what was to come.

After this scene is when Judas betrays Jesus. Soon after one of those with Jesus reached out his hand and drew his sword and cut off the ear of a slave of the High Priest. Jesus immediately rebukes him and tells him who takes up a sword will perish by the sword. The disciple who when He saw Jesus being attacked immediately reacted in the flesh because he did not heed to what Jesus had told him to do.

What stood out to me is what Jesus said to his disciple, "Or do you think that I cannot call on my Father, and He will provide Me at once with more than 12 legions of angels? Wow!

Jesus said that if He called on His father that His Father AT ONCE will provide 12 legions of angels to come to His aid.

As children of God if we are praying and making the most of our time being strengthened in prayer and remaining in communion with the Lord that we also can have the same conviction that when we call upon the Lord, He will listen.

2 Chronicles 7:14 says, "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

Are you preparing for rain?

My sister was sharing a story of a woman who her husband worked out of the home while she is now a SAHM. This woman said that coupon clipping and shopping wisely is her way to contribute income to her household.

I am so grateful to the Lord that He has revealed this new way of shopping to me. With me being a SAHM now I am enjoying finding ways to cut our spending.

Were you able to save BIG this week?

"Since we believe that Jesus died and rose again , in the same way God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus." - 1 Thess 4:14

You Will Have What You Say....

Yesterday evening, I made a comment to my husband about a personal situation and he lovingly looked at me and said.."como usted quiera" which translates "if that's what you want".

After He said that to me,the Holy Spirit reminded me of Prov 18:21 - "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof".

I don't want to be satisfied and complacent. Why should I be? I serve a mighty God. I don't have to accept what I see going on around me because I walk by faith and not by sight. I have to declare those things which are not as if they are knowing that my Father knows what I am in need of. If I seek His kingdom first and His righteousness first then all other things will be added unto me.

My husband had been declaring life over the same situation that I am now confronted with. He prayed for God to intervene and he would also declare life over it and I witnessed the fruits of him declaring the Word of God and His promises and not leaning on his own understanding.

I certainly do not want my own reasoning to serve as a blessing blocker.

Lord, I know it is not by strength but by your Holy Spirit. Help me to be still and know that you are GOD!
